Well, it has been a while hasn’t it.
Today I looked at a One Penny coin and realised that it was older than I am. It got me wondering, do they produce the same number of pennies every year? Instead of googling the answer, however, I made a little experiment and laid out all of my one pennies in a kind of pictograph according to their age. The images that follow cover the period between 1988 and 2011, a category in which most of the pennies in my penny jar fell.
